Kilian Kerner recovers from severe spinal injury and surgery

Fashion designer and ‘Germany’s Next Topmodel’ guest judge Kilian Kerner has shared details regarding a difficult period involving a severe spinal injury and personal challenges. After experiencing back pain in late 2025, Kerner suffered a herniated disc in January, which required surgery following a period of intense pain and medical complications.

Kerner described the period between November 2025 and July 2026 as his ‘hardest year,’ noting that he faced physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion alongside the end of a relationship. Following his recovery, he has adopted a new lifestyle focused on healthy eating and exercise.

Looking forward, Kerner plans to relocate from Berlin to Los Angeles for six months starting this October.
