Kilis hosts 2nd Pepper Festival to promote local production

The 2nd Pepper Festival was held in Kilis to promote the city's significant red pepper production. The event, which included a parade from Hacı Cümbüş Mosque to Cumhuriyet Square, aimed to highlight local agricultural values and the labor of producers.

Kilis Governor Ömer Kalaylı noted that the city ranks third in Turkey for red pepper production and eighth for pepper used in paste production. The festival included an awards ceremony to recognize successful growers and focused on expanding the reach of Kilis's culinary culture.
