Brandon Flowers questions his future as he prepares solo album 'Thrasher

Brandon Flowers, the 45‑year‑old frontman of The Killers, told The Times that he is “really going through it” and is questioning how much longer he wants to continue performing. He reflected on the toll touring takes on his health, noting that he invariably falls ill after each tour, and compared his situation to his father’s simpler, happier life.

Flowers is promoting his third solo album, Thrasher, which blends country‑and‑western influences and is slated for release on Aug. 21, 2026. He described the record as sounding like the music his dad listened to while he was growing up in Utah. To support the album, Flowers will embark on a North American fall tour beginning Sep. 1 in Phoenix, Arizona, and concluding in early October in Las Vegas.

He lives in Utah with his wife, Tana Mundkowsky, and their three sons, Ammon, Gunnar and Henry. The interview also referenced Mick Jagger as an example of an artist who continues to perform for the emotional power of live concerts.
