Killyan Toure suffers shoulder injury

Iowa State sophomore guard Killyan Toure has reportedly suffered a shoulder injury at Damian Lillard’s elite camp. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, and there is no established timetable for his return to the team.

Toure was expected to take on a significant role for the Cyclones this upcoming season following the departure of Tamin Lipsey and Joshua Jefferson to the NBA, as well as the transfer of Milan Momcilovic. During his freshman season, Toure averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He was noted for his defensive capabilities, ranking ninth in the Big 12 in steals per game.

The injury may force Iowa State to rely more heavily on depth, with players such as Jaquan Johnson, Jamarion Batemon, and Ryan Prather Jr. potentially seeing increased playing time.
