Kim Do-young appointed president of Jeju Development Corporation

Kim Do-young has officially assumed office as the 13th president of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation. He received his appointment from Jeju Governor Wi Seong-gon on the 16th.

Kim, a Jeju native with approximately 27 years of experience in the private sector at companies including LG Uplus and GS Engineering & Construction, aims to combine private-sector innovation and speed with the public responsibility of a state-owned enterprise. His primary objective is to strengthen the competitiveness of Jeju Samdasoo, the corporation's flagship bottled water brand, amidst intensifying market competition and changing distribution environments.

His management strategy focuses on balancing public interest with profitability, implementing field-oriented management, and fostering a transparent organizational culture. On his first day, Kim visited several memorial sites before touring the Samdasoo production facilities and meeting with employees and labor union representatives to hear direct feedback from the field.
