Kim Ga-yeon reveals reason for forgiving one malicious commenter

Actress Kim Ga-yeon revealed on her YouTube channel, ‘Kim Ga-yeon & Lim Yo-hwan’s Game Couple’, that she broke her strict principle of never settling with malicious commenters for a single instance.

Kim, who has been involved in legal battles against online commenters for over a decade, explained that she decided to withdraw a lawsuit against a middle school student. The student, who was a top-ranking student in his class, had been posting copied content on anonymous websites to increase his rank and avoid being ostracized by his peers.

Kim noted that after meeting the student's parents at the police station, she understood the pressure the child was under to conform to social hierarchies within his school group. She chose to forgive the individual to protect the student's future, keeping the details private for several years to prevent further harm to the minor.
