Kim Gehrig wins Emmy for Apple’s ‘I’m Not Remarkable’

Director Kim Gehrig has won the 2026 Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial for Apple’s ‘I’m Not Remarkable’. This marks Gehrig’s second win in this category, following her 2023 win for ‘The Greatest’.

Released globally for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the three-minute musical follows Deaf and disabled students navigating the college experience. The film features musical production by Tony Award-winning composer Tim Minchin and aims to challenge portrayals of disabled people as extraordinary simply for living their lives, instead reclaiming the concept of being ‘remarkable’ for everyone.

The commercial highlights various Apple accessibility features, including VoiceOver, AssistiveTouch, Live Captions, Magnifier for Mac, Braille Access, and Accessibility Reader. This win is Apple’s fifth Outstanding Commercial Emmy overall and its third in the last four years.
