Kim Heechul Leaves 'Knowing Bros' After 11 Years

Super Junior member Kim Heechul announced a temporary break from the JTBC variety show Knowing Bros, ending an 11‑year stint on the program. He explained that the demanding schedule of Super Junior’s 20th‑anniversary tour forced him to miss Thursday recordings or required the crew to film episodes twice.

Heechul credited senior entertainer Kang Ho Dong for shaping his broadcasting mindset, noting Ho Dong’s “viewers‑first” philosophy. He also reflected on the group’s early financial situation, saying that during Super Junior’s early years the members often lost money on broadcast appearances, though the income was enough to live on.

The decision was shared by Heechul on social media, expressing concern for viewers and hoping they stay healthy until his return.
