Kim Hye-seong expresses disappointment after limited Dodgers season
Los Angeles Dodgers utility player Kim Hye-seong expressed deep disappointment following his second Major League Baseball season, describing it as the most frustrating experience of his career. After appearing in 71 games during his debut year, Kim's playing time was significantly reduced this season to just 43 games, with a batting average of .259 and an OPS of .651.
Following a period of inconsistent hitting, Kim was sent down to Triple-A in late May and did not receive a call-up for the remainder of the regular season. Although he was included on the postseason roster, his opportunities were limited to a single appearance as a defensive substitute during the National League Division Series.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted that Kim must find consistency at the plate to secure a more permanent role within the team. With veteran infielder Miguel Rojas retiring, Kim faces a critical juncture in the upcoming season to prove his value and secure his position on the roster.
