Kim Ji Won to star in medical noir drama ‘Doctor X’

Actress Kim Ji Won is set to star in the upcoming SBS medical noir drama ‘Doctor X: White Mafia Era’, an adaptation of the popular Japanese series. In the series, she portrays Gye Soo Jung, a genius surgeon known as the ‘crazy dog of the operating room’ who uses her exceptional skills to challenge corruption within Guseo University Hospital.

To prepare for the role, Kim reportedly studied surgical techniques, including suturing and knotting, to ensure authenticity. The drama is scheduled to premiere on October 9.

In promotion for her new work, Kim will make her first solo appearance on the tvN variety show ‘Yoo Quiz on the Block’, reuniting with host Yoo Jae Suk. The episode is expected to feature behind-the-scenes stories and a recreation of her famous ‘Aero-style aegyo’ from her previous hit, ‘Fight for My Way’.
