Kim Ji-won to star in new Netflix medical drama Doctor X

The new medical noir K-drama ‘Doctor X: A Máfia do Jaleco Branco’ is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 9. Based on a Japanese series, the production stars Kim Ji-won as Gye Su-jeong, a highly skilled and mysterious surgeon.

Set at Guseo University Hospital, the story follows Su-jeong as she navigates a medical institution plagued by corruption, ego, and power struggles. Known as an ‘anti-heroine of medicine,’ the protagonist uses her exceptional surgical abilities to tackle impossible cases while resisting a system driven by money and influence.

The main cast includes Lee Jung-eun as Jang Hee-suk, Son Hyun-joo as Bu Seung-gwon, and Kim Woo-seok as intern Park Tae-kyung.
