Kim Jong Kook discusses emotional infidelity and divorce

Singer and TV personality Kim Jong Kook recently discussed the nuances of infidelity during a visit to divorce lawyer Park Min Cheol’s office. In a video posted to YouTube on September 10, Kim reviewed real-life consultation cases to explore the boundaries of marital misconduct.

During the discussion, Lawyer Park presented a case involving a spouse who exchanged romantic messages with another individual, including phrases such as ‘I want to marry you in the next life’ and ‘I really miss you,’ despite the two never meeting physically. Kim Jong Kook characterized these actions as definitive infidelity, stating that divorce was the appropriate choice in such circumstances. He argued that emotional reliance on a third party can be more serious than physical affairs.

Lawyer Park noted that legal precedents do not rely solely on physical relations to determine infidelity. Instead, courts often consider whether there was significant emotional communication with a member of the opposite sex, which can serve as grounds for divorce.
