However, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, which owns the dress, denied these claims, stating that a 2017 report had already noted existing wear and stretched seams.

Another notable aspect of her appearance was an orange, futuristic fiberglass corset. The piece was painted at MPS Body and Paint in Kent, UK, by former speedway rider Martyn Smith. Smith, who was commissioned by artist Allen Jones, applied a metallic orange finish similar to those used on automobiles.
