Kim Kardashian Waives $167,000 Debt After Instagram Lawsuit

Kim Kardashian mistakenly posted a photo of a man named Ivan Cantu on Instagram while advocating for a different inmate with the same name. Cantu sued Kardashian, claiming invasion of privacy and other civil harms, and a federal judge ordered him to pay her legal fees of about $167,000.

Kardashian subsequently forgave the debt, agreeing not to collect the amount. The court dismissed Cantu’s claims, and his case was dismissed with prejudice, ending the lawsuit.
