Kim Kardashian's Hidden Hills estate burglarized

Trey Mendel, 27, has been arrested following a burglary at Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills estate. On August 9, Mendel allegedly broke into the property and stole a 2017 Lexus GX 470 belonging to one of Kardashian’s employees, using the vehicle to drive around the neighborhood before being apprehended at the scene.

Mendel faces second-degree theft charges. A judge has ordered a psychiatric evaluation for the defendant after his public defender suggested he may be in poor mental health. Bail has been set at $75,000. Mendel is expected to return to court later this month following his evaluation.

At the time of the incident, Kardashian and her four children were not residing at the estate, as the property—valued at approximately $60 million—is currently undergoing renovations. The family is temporarily staying in a nearby luxury rental.
