Kim Kataguiri criticizes Flávio Bolsonaro over film financing

Federal Deputy Kim Kataguiri has criticized Senator Flávio Bolsonaro regarding allegations of irregular financing for the film ‘Dark Horse’, a project about Jair Bolsonaro. Kataguiri accused Bolsonaro of providing inconsistent explanations as new information emerges, suggesting the Senator is attempting to mislead his supporters.

The controversy stems from reports by Intercept Brasil, which revealed negotiations and direct communications involving approximately US$ 24 million (roughly R$ 134 million) with businessman Daniel Vorcaro. The records suggest discussions regarding payments intended for the film's production.

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro has denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that the funds sought were strictly private resources with no use of public money or political quid pro quo. Kataguiri highlighted a perceived double standard among Bolsonaro supporters, using a hypothetical scenario involving the son of President Lula to question why similar financial suspicions would be treated differently depending on the political affiliation of the individual involved.
