KIM LONG MOTOR exports electric city buses to Thailand
KIM LONG MOTOR Hue has completed the delivery of its first batch of nine KIMLONGB30-EV all-electric city buses to INNOPOWER Co., Ltd. in Thailand. The shipment is scheduled to depart from Chan May Port in Hue on September 18, 2026.
This delivery is the first installment of a contract for a total of 113 vehicles to be exported to Thailand throughout 2026. INNOPOWER is a joint venture between three major Thai energy corporations: the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), RATCH Group, and Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO).
Currently, KIM LONG MOTOR’s electric vehicle production features a localization rate exceeding 60%. The company aims to increase this rate to 90% by the end of 2026, matching the localization levels of its diesel bus models. The KIMLONGB30-EV model has previously been utilized in public transport in Vietnamese cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
