Kim Petras releases Detour (Rare N’ Deluxe) via BunHead Records

Kim Petras has released Detour (Rare N’ Deluxe), an expanded version of her May album that includes five additional tracks. The release features the new single “Autobahn,” described as a darker, more chaotic counterpart to her previous track “Jeep.”

The release marks a significant shift in Petras’s career following her departure from Republic Records earlier this year. After expressing frustration over a lack of creative control and delays in releasing her music, Petras transitioned to releasing music independently through her own label, BunHead Records, in partnership with Amigo Records.

Executive produced by Petras and Margo XS, the deluxe edition represents her first such release since her career began in 2011. The project includes contributions from various collaborators, including Frost Children and nightfeelings.
