Kim Si-min Park Golf Course opens in Cheonan

Cheonan City has officially opened the Kim Si-min Park Golf Course in Seongnam-myeon, Daehwa-ri, to meet the growing demand for park golf and expand sports infrastructure in the Dongnam region. The project involved an investment of 1.97 billion KRW to develop an 18-hole course covering 30,268 square meters, complete with a clubhouse, storage, restrooms, and 70 parking spaces.

The opening of this facility completes Cheonan's public park golf system, which now includes five operational sites: Yu Gwan-sun, Pungseocheon, Pungse, Handeul, and the new Kim Si-min course. Following a trial period, the facility is scheduled to begin full operations for the general public on November 13.

In addition to promoting physical activity, the city plans to link the management and operation of the golf course with local senior job programs to create employment opportunities for the elderly.
