Kim So-young to close Bookjeonso Book Club service

Entrepreneur and former announcer Kim So-young has announced the closure of her Bookjeonso Book Club service. The subscription service, which operated for approximately six years, will conclude its final subscriptions in October 2026.

Kim cited a combination of changing market conditions in the publishing and printing industries, along with internal circumstances, as the reasons for the decision. She noted that while she had been preparing for this transition due to ongoing market fluctuations, the announcement might come as a surprise to subscribers because she had not previously disclosed the business's difficulties.

This closure follows the recent termination of her cookie business, which she previously stated had remained in deficit despite sales. Despite these closures, Kim recently secured 7 billion won in investment from a prominent firm and expressed her intention to continue her activities as an entrepreneur, focusing on long-term growth and strategic planning.
