Kim Soo-hyun resumes professional activities after hiatus

South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun is resuming his professional activities following a hiatus triggered by a 2025 controversy involving the late actress Kim Sae-ron. After being cleared by South Korean police of Child Welfare Act allegations in July, Kim has begun appearing at international events.

Kim recently made a special appearance at the RCTI 37th anniversary broadcast in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he performed “Dreaming” from the 2011 drama “Dream High.” His agency, Gold Medalist, confirmed his return to the spotlight, noting his upcoming schedule includes a fan meeting in the Philippines on October 2 and a presenter role at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards in Busan.

Additionally, Kim is scheduled to attend the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2026, held at the Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan on December 5-6. While his return has been met with excitement from fans, some online backlash and calls for boycotts have emerged regarding his attendance at these award ceremonies following the high-profile scandal.
