Kim Soo-hyun to make first South Korean public appearance in 18 months

South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to make his first major public appearance in South Korea in approximately 18 months. The organizing committee for The Fact Music Awards (TMA) confirmed that Kim will attend the ceremony as a presenter on September 19, 2026, at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.

This return follows a period of reduced domestic activity stemming from allegations regarding a past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron. Kim had previously denied claims that the relationship occurred while she was a minor. Recent legal developments have cleared the actor of these allegations; South Korean police decided not to refer the case to the prosecution due to insufficient evidence, and investigations revealed that certain audio recordings used as evidence had been manipulated using generative AI.

In addition to his upcoming appearance in Busan, Kim has been resuming international activities, including a recent television appearance in Indonesia and a scheduled fan meeting in the Philippines in October. His agency, Goldmedalist, has also issued warnings to fans regarding fraudulent individuals attempting to impersonate event organizers for overseas fan meetings.
