Kim Sun-tae apologizes for reviving LISSNE’s ‘무섭노’ controversy on KBS show

YouTuber Kim Sun-tae, known as “충주맨,” hosted KBS’s web variety program “돈선태: 성공시대.” In a pre‑release video posted on KBS’s YouTube channel, he asked LISSNE member Won‑yi about the slang “무섭노,” reviving a prior controversy surrounding the phrase. The video drew criticism for the explicit reference and for tagging unrelated public figures. Kim later removed the video, made the channel private, and issued a public apology, stating, “명백한 나의 잘못” (clearly my fault) and acknowledging that he had not recognized script problems during filming. He said he immediately requested the video’s deletion, admitted the lack of pre‑review, and pledged to be more careful in future appearances, especially toward the LISSNE members who were affected.
