Kim Yeon-koung returns as coach in MBC series season 2

MBC has released a main trailer for the second season of its entertainment program, ‘Rookie Coach Kim Yeon-koung 2’, which is scheduled to premiere on October 11. The show follows former volleyball star Kim Yeon-koung in her journey as a coach leading the ‘Pilseung Wonderdogs’.

In this season, Kim faces more formidable opponents, including the professional team Hyundai Hillstate, the new club SOOP Supers, and a top team from the Vietnamese professional league. The trailer highlights emotional reunions, such as Kim facing former teammates Pyo Seung-ju and Lee Na-yeon, who are now members of the professional club Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders.

The ultimate goal for the Pilseung Wonderdogs is to establish themselves as the eighth professional women's volleyball club. Production staff noted that the team's future depends on finding an owner, describing this season as a critical challenge for the team's survival and professional status.
