Kimberley Walsh discusses impact of Sarah Harding’s death
Singer Kimberley Walsh has shared how the unexpected death of Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding profoundly affected her mental health and perspective on life. Speaking on the Second Act podcast, Walsh revealed that the loss initially triggered major health anxieties.
Walsh noted that she and Harding were the same age, born only three days apart, and were both approaching their 40th birthdays when Harding passed away in 2021 following a breast cancer diagnosis. Walsh stated that the experience changed her attitude toward aging, leading her to view every birthday as a privilege and a motivation to make the most of every day.
Walsh also mentioned that the loss served as a catalyst for reuniting with her other bandmates, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, and Nadine Coyle, noting that the group is currently closer than they have been in years.
