Kimi Antonelli and Mercedes face legal dispute over management fees
Mercedes F1 driver Kimi Antonelli and the Mercedes team are now directly involved in a multi-million dollar legal dispute with his former manager, Giovanni Minardi. The Court of Bologna has ordered Antonelli and Mercedes to submit various contractual and accounting documents, including contracts between the team and the driver and proof of payments made, by November 6.
Minardi, the son of F1 figure Gian Carlo Minardi, claims he is entitled to between 10% and 20% of Antonelli’s earnings due to a management agreement he alleges was irregularly terminated. The dispute covers both past income and potential earnings through 2028, including fixed salaries, bonuses for pole positions, race wins, and championship points. The court's decision to demand financial transparency from Mercedes could lead to Toto Wolff being called to testify.
