Kimi Antonelli hits fence during Mercedes promotional shoot

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Kimi Antonelli was involved in a minor incident while filming a promotional video for the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé in Austin, Texas. While attempting to drive the electric vehicle, Antonelli mistakenly engaged reverse instead of first gear, causing the car to strike a wooden fence.

The incident occurred at very low speed, resulting in no damage to the vehicle. The only reported damage was a detached wooden slat from the fence. George Russell, who was present during the shoot, was seen laughing at the mistake. The high-performance electric vehicle featured in the shoot produces 1,169 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds.
