Kimora Lee to star in new Lifetime documentary

Former supermodel and Baby Phat founder Kimora Lee is set to star in a new Lifetime documentary titled ‘Kimora Lee: On Her Own’. The film aims to provide an intimate look at her life, covering her transition from a teenage fashion model to a successful entrepreneur and mother.

In the documentary, Lee addresses her decision to drop the Simmons name, which she had used following her 1998 marriage to Russell Simmons. The film will explore her business battles, family drama, and personal experiences within the fashion industry, including her time as one of Karl Lagerfeld’s youngest Chanel models.

Lee stated in a press announcement that the project is an effort to reclaim her own narrative, noting, “Someone else always holding the pen. Not anymore.” The documentary will feature interviews with her family, friends, and collaborators.
