KIMS Hospitals doubles Anantapur facility capacity to 500 beds

The Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS Hospitals Group) has expanded its KIMS Saveera Hospital in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, doubling its capacity from 250 to 500 beds. This expansion brings the group's total bed count to 9,117.

The multi-crore project includes a Comprehensive Oncology Block equipped with an Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator, digital PET-CT, and brachytherapy tools. Additionally, a dedicated Cuddles Mother and Child Block has been established, featuring specialized neonatal intensive care facilities.

The facility is scheduled for formal inauguration on November 1, 2026, with Andhra Pradesh Ministers Satya Kumar Yadav and Payyavula Keshav expected to attend. As part of a corporate social responsibility initiative, the hospital will also distribute 200 DRIISTI AI-powered smart glasses to visually impaired beneficiaries in the Anantapur district, developed in collaboration with Achala Health Services.
