Kind Farm sanctuary seeks volunteers in New Zealand

Kind Farm, an animal sanctuary located in the Cardrona Valley region of Otago on New Zealand’s South Island, is seeking international volunteers. In exchange for their work, participants receive free accommodation on the premises.

The sanctuary cares for rescued animals, including horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, and birds that have been abandoned or mistreated. Volunteer responsibilities include feeding animals, grooming, cleaning stables and enclosures, maintaining common areas, gardening, and assisting with animal recreational activities.

No prior experience in animal care is required, though a commitment to animal welfare is essential. The sanctuary is situated near Wanaka and Queenstown, offering volunteers access to local hiking trails and natural landscapes during their free time. Prospective participants are advised to verify New Zealand’s migratory requirements and obtain international medical insurance prior to arrival.
