Kindai University to host engineering and regional development expo

Kindai University's Faculty of Engineering will host the ‘Engineering, Region, and Future Expo’ on August 31, 2026, at its Hiroshima Campus. The event aims to strengthen industry-government-academia collaboration and address regional challenges.

The program includes the ‘Kindai University Faculty of Engineering Research Open Forum 2026,’ featuring laboratory tours across six departments to showcase research and experimental equipment. Additionally, the ‘Higashihiroshima City, 3-University Joint Town & Gown Concept Activity Report Meeting’ will present research results from collaborations between Kindai University, Hiroshima University, and Hiroshima International University.

A special lecture will be delivered by Masato Nakanishi of Micron Memory Japan Co., Ltd., titled ‘From Higashihiroshima to the World: Semiconductors Supporting the AI Era and Global Careers.’ The event will conclude with technical consultation sessions to facilitate networking between researchers, businesses, and local government officials.
