Kindergartens in Zadar and Pazin prepare for new school year

Kindergartens in Croatia are preparing for the new pedagogical year with significant staffing and enrollment updates. In Zadar, the Radost kindergarten has successfully filled various positions following a recruitment process held in August. The new staff includes educators, cleaners, and assistant cooks, with many educators securing indefinite or fixed-term contracts.

In the Pazin region, 658 children of early and preschool age are enrolled for the upcoming year. Mayor Suzana Jašić announced that for the second consecutive year, every eligible child in the Pazin area has a guaranteed place in a public kindergarten. To provide flexibility, the City of Pazin will also co-finance stays in private kindergartens and with nannies at a rate of 300 euros per month per child.

The economic cost of kindergarten in Pazin is 540.37 euros per month, with the city covering approximately 76 percent of this amount. Parents pay 130 euros, though various subsidies are available for single parents, families with multiple children, and children with developmental difficulties.
