Kindia: Fatal accident on National Road 1 leaves four dead

A fatal traffic accident occurred on National Road 1 in the Labota area, within the Mambia sub-prefecture, on the Conakry-Kindia axis. The collision involved a heavy truck traveling from Kindia and a public transport vehicle coming from Conakry.

According to Dr. Moussa Camara, spokesperson for the Alpha Oumar Diallo Regional Hospital in Kindia, the emergency department received 14 victims. The provisional toll includes four deaths—two men and two women—and ten injured individuals, including six women, three men, and one boy.

The injured are receiving treatment for various traumas and minor injuries. Hospital officials are evaluating whether some patients will require transfer to higher-level medical facilities in Conakry. The exact circumstances of the collision are still being determined by the relevant authorities.
