King Abdulaziz Public Library hosts cultural and restoration activities
The King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh has organized a series of cultural activities aimed at enriching the knowledge landscape in Saudi Arabia and strengthening international cultural ties.
As part of the ‘China’s Melody in the Heart of the Kingdom’ event at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, the library highlighted its seven-year partnership with Peking University. This collaboration involves translating Saudi literature, folk culture, and poetry into Chinese, as well as translating Chinese works, such as ‘New China in the New Century’, into Arabic.
In its ‘Art Journey in a Book’ program, the library hosted a seminar on John Dewey’s aesthetic experience and conducted a workshop on the scientific restoration of rare historical documents. Additionally, the library participated in the Arab Document Day celebrations at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo and continues to promote national anthropology through the Encyclopedia of Saudi Arabia.
