King Arthur film to air on Kabel Eins

The action film ‘King Arthur’, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is scheduled for broadcast on the German television channel Kabel Eins.

Set around 450 AD, the film reinterprets the legend by portraying Arthur, played by Clive Owen, as a Roman soldier stationed at Hadrian’s Wall. The plot follows Arthur and his men as they defend the province of Britannia against Celtic attacks led by Cerdic. During a mission to escort a Roman dignitary and his son, Arthur liberates Guinevere, played by Keira Knightley.

The film features an ensemble cast including Mads Mikkelsen, Ioan Gruffudd, Hugh Dancy, and Joel Edgerton. It was produced with a budget of approximately 120 million USD.
