A source told media outlets that King Charles III and his younger brother, Prince Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor, have had no contact since the king removed Andrew’s remaining royal titles in October 2025. The decision followed years of scrutiny over Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and his 2019 withdrawal from public duties.

On his 66th birthday in February, police took Prince Andrew from his Sandringham residence on suspicion of misconduct in public office, further deepening the rift.
