King Charles III expresses concern over Cyprus division

During a Commonwealth reception at St. James’s Palace in London, King Charles III reportedly expressed his sadness regarding the ongoing division of Cyprus and voiced hope for a near-term resolution to the issue.

The remarks were shared by Christina Dymioti, founder of the Fashion Heritage Network Cyprus, following a meeting with the King and Queen Camilla. While Buckingham Palace has not issued an official statement regarding these specific comments, Dymioti noted that the King showed significant interest in bi-communal initiatives aimed at bringing together youth from both the Turkish Cypriot community and the Republic of Cyprus.

Dymioti informed the King of her work with the bi-communal Youth Technical Committee, which operates in direct coordination with the United Nations. The King reportedly congratulated her on these efforts and encouraged her team to continue their work in fostering cooperation through sustainable fashion and shared cultural heritage projects.
