King Charles III marks milestones in Oxford and New Delhi
King Charles III participated in several engagements highlighting his roles in education and international diplomacy. In Oxford, the monarch visited the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to celebrate its 40th anniversary and officially open the newly renamed King Charles III wing. During the visit, the King interacted with primary school students from St Nicholas and St Michael’s, discussing their summer reading and the Harry Potter series.
In New Delhi, the British High Commission hosted a celebration for the King’s birthday, an event intended to underscore the strengthening bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and India. The celebration followed the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which has facilitated growth in sectors such as clean energy, technology, and advanced manufacturing. The event was attended by UK government secretaries, Indian Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh, and various business and academic leaders.
