King Charles III replies to Hindhead care home residents

Residents of Moorhouse Care Home in Hindhead have received a personal reply from King Charles III after sending handmade cards to the Royal Family. The letter, sent from Buckingham Palace, expressed gratitude for the “splendid handmade cards.”

James Dawson, Head of Royal Correspondence, stated that the King was “immensely heartened” by the residents' thoughtfulness and appreciated the effort put into the cards. The response has provided a significant boost to the residents, with staff noting the importance of maintaining connections to the wider world. Following the exchange, residents have already sent a birthday card to the Prince of Wales.
