King cobra captured after entering home in Nghe An

A 3-meter-long king cobra, weighing approximately 4.2kg, entered a residential home in Nghia Dong commune, Nghe An province, causing panic among the inhabitants.

Local resident Ha Van Dung managed to safely capture the large black snake before voluntarily handing it over to the Nghia Dong Commune Police and the Tan Ky Forest Protection Department. After verifying the species and its health, authorities released the snake back into its natural forest habitat.

Local officials have advised residents to maintain a safe distance from wildlife, particularly large snakes, and to contact local authorities or forest rangers for assistance rather than attempting to handle such animals themselves.
