KING CROSS Zagreb completes 40 million euro transformation
The KING CROSS shopping center in Zagreb has completed a two-year comprehensive transformation and repositioning project. Managed by SES, the development involved an investment exceeding 40 million euros to modernize the facility while maintaining continuous business operations.
Since April 2024, the center has undergone significant upgrades, including a 10 percent increase in leasable area to a total of 38,500 square meters. The modernization introduces contemporary architecture, new visitor spaces, and an expanded selection of shopping, gastronomy, leisure, and family entertainment options.
A key feature of the renovation is ‘King’s Garden’, a new indoor and outdoor gastronomic zone spanning over 1,000 square meters. This area includes seven new culinary concepts, terraces, and horticultural elements designed to connect the center with outdoor spaces.
Additional upgrades include new family entertainment facilities such as the Twister children's park and Mini Lollipop playroom, as well as enhanced sports offerings through Decathlon. The project also emphasizes sustainability, transitioning from fossil fuels to heat pumps for heating and cooling, and implementing advanced LED technology.
