King Haakon VIII of Norway spotted shopping in Rødberg

Following the recent deaths of King Harald and Princess Astrid, the Norwegian Royal Family is navigating a new era under the reign of King Haakon VIII.

In a notable public appearance, King Haakon VIII was spotted shopping for produce at a Kiwi supermarket in Rødberg. The 53-year-old monarch engaged with several teenagers who were surprised to encounter him during his daily routine. Royal experts noted that while shopping is not unusual, this marks the first time he has performed such an act in his capacity as King.

Simultaneously, the family is marking a significant personal milestone. Emma Tallulah Behn, the youngest granddaughter of the late King Harald and Princess Märtha Louise, celebrated her 18th birthday on September 29, 2026. The milestone comes just weeks after the passing of her grandfather, an event that has cast a shadow over the family's celebrations.
