Morocco's King Mohammed VI condemns Iranian missile attacks on Jordan

King Mohammed VI of Morocco has expressed absolute solidarity with Jordan following Iranian missile attacks on Jordanian territory. In a message to King Abdullah II, the Moroccan monarch condemned the strikes as an “unjustified criminal aggression” and emphasized that the security of Jordan is inseparable from the security of Morocco.

The Jordanian military reported that its air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed 18 out of 20 ballistic missiles launched from Iran. This incident follows a pattern of recent escalations, including an earlier attack in September where Jordan intercepted 10 of 13 missiles.

The attacks occur against a backdrop of heightened military tensions between the United States and Iran, following U.S. strikes on Iranian targets and subsequent Iranian responses involving missiles and drones targeting various countries in the region, including Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
