King Salman Relief and Egyptian Red Crescent provide aid to Gaza and Yemen
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) is conducting extensive operations across several countries, providing food, medical, and shelter assistance. In the Gaza Strip, the center distributed 1,905 food baskets to families in Rafah, provided 25,000 hot meals in central and southern Gaza, and pumped 500,000 liters of safe drinking water to various governorates to support resident resilience.
In Yemen, KSrelief has focused on water security and food aid for displaced populations. Efforts include distributing water containers and potable water to displaced persons in Aden and Lahj, as well as providing food baskets in Aden, Lahj, and Abyan. Additionally, the center organized an agricultural workshop in Socotra to support farmers and enhance food security.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Red Crescent has intensified its relief efforts for Palestinians in Gaza through the ‘Zad al-Izza’ campaign. The organization dispatched over 1,620 tons of flour and food baskets to address bread shortages and bakery disruptions. A recent convoy, the 304th of its kind, carried more than 3,380 tons of diverse aid, including medicines and petroleum products for hospitals and vital facilities. To prepare for winter, the convoy also included 1,328 tents and over 3,200 blankets. Since the beginning of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has provided a total of one million tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
