King tides cause flooding in US coastal communities

Exceptionally high king tides have caused flooding across various coastal regions in the United States. The tides, driven by the gravitational pull of the Earth, moon, and sun, began following this week’s full moon.

Inundation has been reported on both the East and West coasts, affecting states including Florida and California. The rising seawater has flooded streets and entered homes and businesses, making travel difficult for vehicles in affected areas.
