Kinga Rusin reports dangerous vehicle issues in Kyrgyzstan
Journalist Kinga Rusin and her partner, Marek Kujawa, experienced a dangerous situation while traveling through Kyrgyzstan. The couple encountered significant difficulties renting a reliable 4x4 vehicle in Osh to navigate steep and winding mountain roads.
After an initial rental with a faulty gearbox and no valid insurance, they received a second vehicle that suffered a brake fluid leak. Rusin noted that the leak was discovered by chance on the same day they were scheduled to cross the Taldyk Pass at an altitude of approximately 4,000 meters.
Following the mechanical issues, they eventually secured a third, 20-year-old vehicle that allowed them to safely traverse the pass and reach the border with Tajikistan, where they viewed the Pamir mountains.
