Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 receives community-made multiplayer mod
A modding group has released an open beta for ‘KCD Multiplayer’, a free modification that introduces multiplayer capabilities to the single-player RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The mod allows players to explore the open world of 15th-century Bohemia together, featuring custom character creation, voice chat, and an emote system.
Unlike official expansions, this mod does not include the game’s original story, quests, or key campaign characters. Instead, it focuses on free-roam exploration and role-playing (RP) capabilities. The developers have implemented server-side synchronization for combat mechanics, such as blocks and ripostes, as well as shared world elements like chests, gates, and traders.
Daniel Vavra, the game’s director, expressed significant enthusiasm for the project on social media. The mod is currently available for PC players who own the game on Steam.
