Kingdom Hearts 4 release window and Coco world revealed

During the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase, Square Enix provided significant updates regarding Kingdom Hearts 4. The company officially set a release window for late 2027. Director Tetsuya Nomura addressed rumors of potential delays, stating that development is progressing as planned and the schedule remains stable.

A new gameplay trailer revealed that the game will feature the world from Pixar's Coco, including characters like Miguel and Héctor. The footage also showcased Sora exploring the realistic city of Quadratum.

In a shift for the franchise, the title will be released across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
