Kingsrose Mining secures permits for Penikat Project in Finland
Kingsrose Mining Limited has secured critical permitting milestones for its Penikat Project in Finland. The Finnish mining authority, Tukes, granted both an Exploration Permit and an Enforcement Order for Area 6.
The Exploration Permit authorizes up to 5,000 metres of drilling annually between August 1 and March 31. This permit is valid for four years from the date it becomes legally binding, with potential extensions allowing for a maximum total validity of 15 years.
Additionally, the Enforcement Order permits a restricted drilling programme of 3,000 metres annually, even if the main Exploration Permit faces an appeal. This order requires maintaining buffer zones of 100 metres from Natura 2000 areas in wooded zones and 200 metres in cleared areas. Kingsrose Mining aims to commence drilling at Area 6 in January 2027.
