Kingston leads global DRAM module market with 62% share
Kingston has maintained its position as the world leader in the independent DRAM module market, capturing an estimated 62% market share in 2025. According to a report by TrendForce, this marks the company’s 23rd consecutive year at the top of the segment.
The global DRAM module market saw significant growth in 2025, generating approximately $21.2 billion in revenue. This represents a 59% increase compared to the previous year, a sharp acceleration from the 7% growth recorded in 2024. Kingston’s own revenue in this segment grew by 48%.
Market dynamics shifted throughout the year. While early 2025 saw manufacturers building DDR4 inventory due to tariff uncertainties, the latter half of the year was defined by surging demand from cloud service providers. The rise of agentic AI workloads increased DRAM consumption for servers and data centers, reducing availability for consumer electronics like laptops and desktops and driving up prices.
